So I had been dodging diving Clifton Heritage Park for some time now, preferring to go by boat and save all the “hassle” of membership fees and setting up in the sand…. you know any excuse I could find.  So when Chuck posted on the local dive group chat that he was looking for a buddy to on Sunday, I was contemplating all the pros and cons – yeah I was just lazy.  However, Clifton Heritage Park<\/a> is an amazing little spot on the west end of New Providence.  Want to talk history?  This is the place.  The fact that it was also home to Nari Nari (the underwater statues) and arguably the best place to take photos.  So the answer was YES!  Provided we could do it early and I could still make church.  Thankfully Chuck agreed and we set an 8am meet up time. <\/p>\n

Well, strangely enough, all went to plan and we got there on time.  The staff at Clifton were amazing.  They let me in (even though the office was still closed) and made me promise that after the dive, I would come up and buy a membership.  I promised I would and I did.  It is one of the best memberships you can by on this island.<\/p>\n

As you can see from the the dive time above, we spent a long time in the water.  Chuck gave the briefing and it wens something like this… “Do you mind if I spear Lion fish? I would like to go to the wreck that Stuart Cove’s sank but never go to, then we can head over to the wall and make our way back after that.”  I was thinking there is no way I would be back in time for church (spoiler alert, I did make it – albeit a few minutes late). The water was crystal clear and perfect for photos.  Now there was an exciting bit to show you, but you will have to wait until I post the video (update: just posted – see below).  Hope you enjoy the photos below. <\/p>\n

GEAR UPDATE:
\nI am diving with the DJI Action Pro 5<\/a> for the second time.  This time I brought along an external light<\/a>.  It was camera was mounted to the top of the light (it has a nifty bracket on top) It doesn’t really allow you the creativity to light the subject from different angles, but it does bring out the colors that are missing because of the water depth. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n
