Shore dives ….. mmmmmm.  Sometimes we get so lazy with boat dives that when the time comes to do that dive from shore, we forget how much extra works goes into planning and executing a safe and fun dive.  With Stuart Cove’s shut down for the week while the do some great renovations, a few members of the Bahamas Dive Club took the opportunity to drive out to Clifton Heritage Park (yes, the home of the underwater statues) and do a beach dive.  It wasn’t just fun, some of us had new gear they were testing and modifying (No, I was not the lucky one).  Clifton has a sandy entrance and a gentle slope out to the statues.  So if anything wasn’t set up right, it is easy to go back and make changes.  We did have one failure and that was a leaky inflation hose in a brand new DiveRite Hydrolite BCD.  It appears it was missing an o-ring just under the top dump valve. It was a quick fix in the end though and it is now working perfectly.  The diving was true to form and really enjoyable.  Hope you like the pics…
