| Thoughts: I could not wait to get back into the water again. Winds were a little unusual as they seemed to be coming out of the west. This in turn gave us some small white caps and a little bit of a bouncy ride out to the dive site. I was also fortunate to be on board when my dive buddy Alexandre gave his first dive site briefing. He has almost completed his PADI Divemaster Training rating! Way to go! For those of you wanting to further your dive training, or just start to diving – Stuart Cove’s has some of the best instructors around. The dive on the other hand was not one of my most comfortable dives. This was not due to the weather or average visibility, but me not taking the time with my gear at the beginning of the dive. I had rushed to put on my OTS FFM (I use the Guardian mostly ’cause I have a severe dislike of sea lice – lol). I knew the seal wasn’t perfect but thought “I’ll fix it in the water.” Well that was stupid – cause I was not able to do that and had I just taken the time before hand to correct my hood – I would not have had any issues at all. You would think I would have listened to myself …. Lesson to be learned again. |
