| Ok so I am a few dives behind – my bad. I will upload last weeks and yesterday’s dive shortly. Today’s dive was amazing. I know I say that a lot, but I am blessed to be able to dive here in the Bahamas! You may see there are weekends where I go to the same sites in a row. I did an article on that a few weeks ago, and the gist of it is, I LOVE DIVING. You will always find things you had never seen before. The Sea Trader is one of my favorite wrecks. So without ruining the thoughts from yesterday, I had a few issues that changed things up a bit. First, the dome housing leaked. (I promise I will do a complete review showing the modifications I needed to make) Second, on the way to the second dive, I lost the battery door to my GoPro Hero 11. The wind took it over board and all I could do is wave it good bye. Do you know those suckers cost over 20 bucks on Amazon to replace…. Anyhoot, I chose to switch cameras, the 10 (without the door) would go into the GoPro housing (with a small piece of one sided sponge to stop the battery from coming out) and the 11 (with the 10’s door) (just a side thought and quick shoutout … the GoPro Hero 9, 10 and 11 share the same dimensions and accessories – that is a good thing!) I hear you say get on with it … Where I was heading with this is – it messed things up. Maybe its the age thing but small changes can lead to unexpected issues. I made sure the to was in video mode – turned it on and pushed the record button. Jumped in and I could hear the beep of it shutting off. Grrr. Then because I have never really used the 11 for photos – found out that it was in nite photo mode. Underwater and in a housing – no changes could be made. So let’s hope you like the photos… |
